So I'm faster at updating Facebook than I am at completing a blog entry. If you're caught up on FB this is old news to you, Colm is sick. Two ear infections, in fact. Yesterday afternoon Colm got up from his nap and boldly exclaimed "Ug, I have a cold!"This morning, he continued by saying "Mommy, I'm sick!" When your child proclaims his illness it makes you sick to your stomach. I immediately called his doctors office!
Unfortunately, they decided that they have regularly scheduled meetings on Thursday and don't turn their phones on until whenever they are done. Do they say this in their automated message? NO! I called every two minutes beginning at 8:00 a.m. Ryan continued when I went to a meeting at 9:00 and didn't get through to anyone until 9:50! Almost two hours and no one but an automated messaged saying the office opened at 8! Then they couldn't get us in! My choices were to make him suffer until the after hours clinic opened at 5 or wait until the offered appointment at 3:30 tomorrow! SERIOUSLY??!!! How hard is it to change an automated message on a machine or have one person staff the phones??? There wasn't even a nurse staffing the nurse line. MSU Peds, you disappointed me today!
